Objectives

With Char-Broil launching across different retail outlets our brief was to: install products, merchandise displays, promote, train and provide retail staff with the skills they needed to inform shoppers correctly about Char-Broil products.

Solution

Cross-referencing skill sets and brand attributes with our qualified staff database, our team worked to match key colleagues focussing on; training experience, ability to engage with new people on the shop floor and how to ensure that retail staff were confident.

Following a Char-Broil train–the–trainer session the team were deployed across the UK to 28 garden centre locations. The team’s focus was to introduce Char-broil’s latest products to the retail staff, enabling them to get hands-on with the products. All training was shop-floor based and the shopper’s needs were a priority.

POS in situ was recorded & then updated and/or added to, giving the client an accurate view of their share of shelf before & after our team visited.

Benefits

With 100% coverage of stores, the infinite team were able to train 153 staff members (5.4 average per store), giving them the brand knowledge & sales tips needed to increase sales and confidence in the product ranges.

95% of staff trained stated that the training provided has improved their product knowledge.

Data highlighted areas for improvement; 82% of stores upon entry had the opportunity to improve their POS placement to planogram and, accessory compliance stood at 15% upon entry.
